The Shitshow
A surreal fashion fairy tale on power as performance
THE SHITSHOW is a surreal fashion fairy tale that examines political power as a form of performance. Staged as a grotesque theatre of spectacle, the film draws on cabaret, propaganda imagery, and choreographic ritual to transform scenes of repression, censorship, and ideological control into an absurd visual language of costume, gesture, and repetition. The work considers the roles we perform within systems of power — from obedience and complicity to indifference and quiet resistance. Through allegory and stylisation, THE SHITSHOW explores authoritarianism not only as a structure of violence, but as a choreography sustained by those who participate in it.
