Sofia Ivanova-Kozhevnikova
London-based award-winning fashion filmmaker, visual director, photographer, videographer and editor working across fashion, film and music.
Originally from Moscow, Russia, I've been developing my visual practice since the age of 15, building a multidisciplinary approach that combines cinematography, editing, direction and art direction with a strong conceptual and narrative focus.
My personal directorial work explores themes of identity, transformation, migration and social perception, often using fashion and abstraction as storytelling tools to navigate the tension between personal experience and collective narratives. Drawing from both theatrical and documentary visual languages, I create emotionally driven, visually precise work that aims to provoke dialogue and shift perspectives.
Alongside my independent practice, I am part of the film team at SHOWstudio, contributing to fashion and cultural productions across digital and editorial platforms.
Whether directing, shooting, editing or developing visual concepts, I approach each project through a balance of aesthetic experimentation and critical reflection, creating work that exists between fashion image-making, cinema and contemporary visual culture.
