Cookie policy

Last updated 29 August 2026

This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics and tracks nobody. The only thing that can place anything on your device is an embedded film, and only if you press play.

What this site sets

Nothing. There are no cookies, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no analytics of any kind. Nobody is counting visitors, and no profile of you is built here or anywhere else on our behalf.

The one exception is a single entry stored in your browser when you dismiss the notice at the bottom of the screen. It records that you have seen it, so it does not reappear on every page. It holds a date and nothing else, it never leaves your browser, and clearing your browsing data removes it.

Typefaces

The two typefaces used here — BBH Bartle and Geist Mono — come from Google Fonts, but they are downloaded when the site is built and served from this domain. Your browser never contacts Google to render this page, so no request, and no IP address, reaches them.

Embedded films

Films are hosted on YouTube rather than on this server. Until you press play, a film is a still image served from this domain — no part of YouTube has loaded and no request has been made to Google.

Pressing play loads the YouTube player. From that moment the connection is between your browser and Google, under their terms rather than ours: they may store data on your device and will see your IP address, the page you came from and what you watch.

The player is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, Google's own reduced-tracking domain, which holds back some of that until playback actually starts. It reduces what is collected — it does not eliminate it.

This is why there is no accept-or-reject banner on this site: there is nothing to accept until you press play, and pressing play is the decision. If you would rather not load YouTube at all, simply do not press it — everything else on the site works without it.

The contact form

The contact form sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. It is an ordinary form: you write a message, it is sent to the server, the server emails it on.

It is also checked for spam on our own server rather than by a service like reCAPTCHA. That matters here more than it sounds: reCAPTCHA and its equivalents load code from another company and place cookies as soon as the page opens, before anyone has typed a word — and a site that uses one needs a consent banner because of it. Keeping the check on our own side is what lets this site stay free of both.

Server logs

Like any web server, the machine serving this site records requests it receives — typically the IP address, the time, the page requested and the browser's user-agent string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure, are not used to build any profile, and are not shared.

Changes and questions

If anything here changes — analytics, a contact form, any embedded service — this page will be updated and the date at the top will change with it. Questions go to sofiva.ko@gmail.com.
